If you want something more than just a recording, you might be after some production.
Every album released has been "Produced". This doesn't mean that it's simply been recorded; a Producer is someone who works with you/your band in the studio while you're recording. They'll give you new ideas and suggest creative changes to make your music better. They may recommend addition instrumentation, such as strings or pianos, to boost your music.
So whether you're after someone to just add something extra to your bands' music or if you're a singer/songwriter with ideas but need help to develop them, you would benefit from having a producer in the studio with you.
Alternatively, you might have already recorded your tracks somewhere else but they might still need something else. This is post-production and works in much the same way as normal production. We can still add extra instrumentation and edit various elements of a song before a final mix is created.
